Koh Ker temples are known to be one of the most important temples and is often referred to as the Pyramids of Asia. There are approximately 96 temples in this complex, built by an ancient king. Each temple faces west towards the city of Angkor.
Angkor is an ancient city with a complex of palaces, temples and monuments. Angkor Wat encompasses an area of 81 ha and is most notable for its distinctive 5 towers that have also been displayed on the national flag. Angkor Wat is a perfect example of Khmer architecture.
